![]() ![]() ![]() Before, it was very easy to tell red from brown. They do look quite a bit more realistic but, its hard to tell red from brown at a distance now. Its a little harder to tell flow direction with the new texture under some light levels. Not bad but the color on the originals were better. Jack-o-lanterns can have faces, good with that. Why does everyone want to put a face on a growing pumpkin? Wish they were just orange, no face. and pretty realistic (given the squareness of the game) Look good! But, without the red glowing eyes, sometimes they are real hard to spot in wooded areas until they are right on you. Again, yea, I know they are not really as pink as the original color but now its hard to see them at times Its hard to tell white, from light gray, or dark gray sheep. ![]() Yes, I know they look more like this than in the original but I am still not on board with the new look. Like the ones from ME pack better but the rest of the ME pack sucks for me. More detail in spider webs as with most other blocks like grass and flowers.Sugarcane, well, it looks like sugarcane!.All the redstone devices and rail items look much better, especially tracks and pistons.Diamonds are white :) Its a good thing.Ores are really cool looking and distinct from stone (iron used to be hard to see in dim light, now easy).Stone textures (like from the strongholds) are really distinctive now. Both wood and metal doors have large windows to see through now.(I liked the old stock gravel before they changed it, TU7 or TU9 I think) Gravel, well, damn, it looks like gravel again! Really. All the ground textures are very good looking and blend well.Wood barks as well as planks are really nice and I like the blonde color of jungle bark.Glass is easier to see through (both blocks and panes).Workbench and Furnace are much improved.Textures are very recognizable so no re-learning.This Natural pack does not suffer this shortfall. A complaint I have with the Mass Effect pack is its substantiallyÄifferent in that you must re-learn the blocks again. The textures are enough like the stock Minecraft that it doesn't require any learning curve to master. I played it quite a lot this weekend and, frankly, I love it. ![]()
